Panama City Downtown

Panama City Downtown is located in the central part of Panama City, the capital and largest city of Panama. Stretching along the Pacific coastline, the area includes several key business and residential districts, including Avenida Balboa, Marbella, Obarrio, and Bella Vista. A significant share of the country’s financial, commercial, and administrative activity is concentrated here, along with international company offices, banks, government institutions, and major urban infrastructure facilities.

Among the largest financial institutions represented in the area are Banco General, Banistmo, Citibank, and Scotiabank. This part of the city is also home to government offices, business centers, hotels, shopping complexes, and office buildings occupied by both local and international companies.

The area benefits from a well-developed transportation network. Several metro stations serve the central districts, while Avenida Balboa, Calle 50, and Corredor Sur provide connections to other parts of Panama City.

One of the area’s most recognizable landmarks is the Cinta Costera waterfront. It features walking paths, cycling lanes, sports facilities, parks, and public recreational spaces. Numerous restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, fitness centers, and shopping complexes are located nearby.
